Why the bad reputation?

I’m sure you have heard by now bad things about Suicide Squad, however do you know why? When watching the film the audience may start to feel like two different directors worked each scene. The film has a sense of ‘Bipolar’, sometimes being the gritty world of DC with a dark atmosphere however, before anything develops either unnecessary comic relief is put in or you lose any sort of engagement with the ‘world’ and characters.

There is reason for this, after the huge backlash ‘Batman vs Superman’ got earlier in the year, CEO of Warner Bros decided the film was going to get a similar response. Two drafts of the film were devised and put before audiences who picked their favourite cut. This led to a combination of both, thus creating the feeling of an incomplete movie that had no way to keep fans engaged.
